Samsung Galaxy Music, Music Duos to launch in Oct, images and specs leaked


Samsung can't get enough of its budget Android offerings. Folks at Sammy Hub and telekom-presse have images and specs, which reveal that now the Korean manufacturer is all set to launch two music-based Android phones, Galaxy Music and Galaxy Music Duos next month.

There is no word regarding the pricing or availability of these devices, an official announcement from Samsung is expected on October 11 at a press event in Frankfurt, Germany.

Both Samsung GT-S6010 Galaxy Music and Samsung GT-S6012 Galaxy Music Duos sport a 3-inch QVGA LCD display with a 320x240 pixel resolution. The music devices will feature Android 4.0 out of the box (We'd love to see a Jelly Bean upgrade).

Under the hood, the smartphones will be powered by an 850MHz single-core processor hosting 512MB RAM. The budget Android music phones will come with a 1300mAh battery. They also include a 3MP camera and 4GB internal storage expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. The phones have Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity options.

As music-centric phones, they come with stereo speakers and are expected to support a wide range of audio formats like MP3, OGG, ACC, ACC +, eACC +, AMR-NB, AMR-WB, WAV, MID, IMY, FLAC and WMA.The phones boast impressive sound quality with advanced audi functions such as SRS surround sound with 2SoundAlive extensions. it will also chafe FM Radio with RDS and a built-in antenna.

The company has also provided their proprietary chat messenger ChatON and Music Hub 2.0, a portal that lets users stream, download, share and recommend playlists to others. The only difference between the two phones is that Galaxy Music Duos is the dual-SIM variant.
